SETTING UP
The first fitting must be carried out by a health professional to ensure that the belt is correctly positioned, without risk to the patient:
- The patient is placed in an upright position.
- The medical team applies the belt around the patient. They adjust it to position the underarm indentations perfectly. And the breastplate around the chest or epigastric area to cover the scar.
- Adjust as necessary using the independent hook-and-loop fasteners and shoulder straps.
- Position the return strap at chest level.
UNDESIRABLE EFFECTS
Putting on a compression garment can cause skin reactions such as redness, itching, oedema or allergies.
